My hubby was really hoping I would keep the natural gray...like Jamie Lee Curtis. But my natural color just doesn't feel natural to me. My inner blonde has been screaming to get out. And finally my hair is long enough to handle some golden tips. So a big thanks to Cindi Brit from Salvatore Capelli Salon in Levis Commons. She has been doing my hair for 7 years...and she was finally able to "release the streaks!"
Thank you to my friend Marilyn Bender for naming me the 2013 Babe Zaharias Golf Classic Honoree!
The golf tournament and luncheon helps to raise funds for cancer research, volunteer efforts and recovery programs of the American Cancer Society. And as a recipient of all these services, I was elated to come and tell my story as a survivor.
This was the 28th annual event bringing attention to Babe Zaharias...a golf legend and one of the founders of the Ladies Professional Golf Association back in 1947. Unfortunately she lost her battle with cancer. But she spent much of her energy fighting the disease and helping to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society met at FifthThird Field last night to plan for the fall gathering called Light the Night Walk... October 20 at the Seagate Centre. We are all working toward the fight against blood cancers...including my friend, Cindy.
