Just in time for Wednesday, here are a couple of new family members you can adopt from the Toledo Area Humane Society!

Babe
(k16)
Australian
Shepherd mix – 6 year old, female
ID#
A025126
Adoption Fee: $75.00
Babe is a beautiful
6-year-old female Australian Shepherd and Labrador mix. Babe was originally adopted from the Toledo
Area Humane Society back in 2007 after a cruelty officer rescued her from a
home where she had been abandoned.
Recently Babe was
returned to the humane society because her owner was ill and couldn’t take care
of a dog.
Babe is a little on the
chunky side and could stand to loose a few pounds. She loves to go on walks in the park and
enjoys watching all of the wildlife.
Babe is a happy girl who
loves attention. She is very smart and
listens really well. Babe knows several
obedience commands and is quick to learn new things.
Babe’s favorite toys are
tennis balls and she enjoys being rewarded with tasty chew bones.
Babe was around older
children in her previous home and enjoyed having their company. She hasn’t spent any time with really small
children and may not know how to handle children who treat her roughly. Babe doesn’t like overly energetic dogs. She would rather be an only pet or at least
be around calmer dogs that have a similar energy level to her own.
Storm
Short
Haired gray and white mix – 3 year old, female
ID
#A51597
Adoption
Fee: $100.00
Storm is a shy and timid kitty that likes to take
things slowly when she meets new people.
If you try
to approach Storm first, she may run away from you, but if you wait and let her
come to you, it wont be love before she is begging for you to pet her.
Storm will need a home that has a calmer and
quieter environment.
She enjoys being around other calm cats and will
frequently offer them kisses or a nice grooming.
