This was unearthed yesterday: The two characters weren't ever planned to be a couple. It just kinda happened. I'm a big fan of "Friends." ...thought I'd shae!

So many people are remembering JFK as today marks the 50th Anniversary of his assassination. I found a color photo gallery of the Kennedy White House...pics with his children, and a noticably jovial presence Kennedy had as President. See 36 photos from Buzzfeed, here. The pictures of the President with his children are quite moving.
When you see these photos, it reminds you how simple the times were: Genuine smiles on most faces versus the divisive, grumpy nature of politics today. That's not to say incredible challenges didn't face the country, rather an entirely different manner in which our leaders handled/presented themselves (like mature adults?).
Kennedy's assassination was a pivotal point in history for the Office of the President and various political figures in our country. They were no longer safe, reachable "open air" human beings. Protection at all costs became necessary. Perhaps this was the beginning of so many Americans feeling a giant separation between reality in their daily lives veruss Washington DC or state level government--our elected representatives are so protected physically and socially they operate in their own little world--seemingly far removed from reality.
Consider how few women work in industries considered to be "manly" fields. It isn't because they're incapable, by any means... what if it was because of the toys the play with and the environment society has fostered to be "girly" girls (meaning: you like princesses and the color pink). That's not the case for everyone, of course...rather an observation from a toy company aiming to get girls interested in engineering and other lines of work dominated by men. The point proven here: Girls can do anything they want. Why not expand their curiosity at an early age?
You've heard the expression 'Dance like no one is watching." This guy takes it to a whole new level... in public.
SAY IT ISN'T SO!!! (said most of my friends.) McDonald's is reporting they will not roll out the McRib Sandwich next year. Let the Toledo outrage begin!
